Academic English Support at FollowLap for Global Students Who Already Excel in Another Language

Many ambitious learners on every continent who want one accelerated digital campus rather than a local classroom they cannot reach do their best professional thinking in a language that is not the language of assessment. FollowLap University has expanded academic English support that treats this as a strength to be bridged, not a defect.

Tutors work on academic stance, hedging, source integration and clarity. They will not erase a student's voice into empty corporate English. Ivana Novak, a oncology trial manager in Zagreb, used sessions to make claims more precise, not more pompous.

Where the university already supports another campus language in student services, advisers may explain procedures in that language. Assessed work remains in the language of the programme unless a validated exception exists.

Workshops include oral presentation practice for vivas. A brilliant analysis that cannot be defended aloud is unfinished.

"We are not an accent police," said the language lead. "We are a meaning police."

Support is free for enrolled global students. Diagnostic writing at orientation helps target the right workshop.

Applicants worried about English should ask admissions about the standard and the support, not about a loophole. FollowLap University will admit students it can teach, and it will teach the students it admits.

For global students considering FollowLap University, the practical test is always the same: can you complete serious academic work without abandoning the life you already have in Zagreb? The university's answer is yes — if you will do the reading, meet the deadlines, and accept that a degree is assessed, not gifted. Ivana Novak, working as a oncology trial manager, is the kind of student this news is written for: employed, ambitious, and unwilling to treat relocation as a tuition they never agreed to pay.

Staff across admissions, registry, teaching and student services have been told to design every process as if the default student is studying after a full day's work. That means recorded sessions, published rubrics, named advisers, and library help that does not vanish at the end of one country's office hours. It also means FollowLap will not pretend a programme is light. Applicants among ambitious learners on every continent who want one accelerated digital campus rather than a local classroom they cannot reach should plan weekly hours before they accept an offer, and they should ask uncomfortable questions at the open webinars if a page on the website feels vague.

FollowLap University is an accelerated digital university for a connected world. Founded in 2019, it will keep publishing news that is operational rather than ceremonial: what changed in a programme, who can apply, how assessment works, and how global students can get help. A fully digital campus designed so students never need to relocate. The next steps for readers of this article are on the programmes pages, the admissions portal, and the student handbook. Questions from Zagreb and from every other city FollowLap serves should go to the office named as author above — they are accountable for the claims in this piece.
