Academic LLM for remote hiring, contractor IP, and data that moves with laptops—not a call to any bar.
Online only

Remote work turned employment, copyright, and data protection into one messy file. A designer in Lisbon, a contractor in Belo Horizonte, a support agent in Delhi, and a student record in English sit in the same week. This LLM teaches you to read those problems as legal-operational problems: characterisation of work, moral rights and assignment, cross-border data, and the difference between a hub translating a ticket and a hub seeing assessment data it should not see. Assessment is in English unless a bilingual pathway is stated. Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi hubs are student services, not a second marking language. FollowLap University will not print UN logos or claim you may appear in court. Thirty credits, not a 36-credit MSc. Identity-checked examinations plus problem questions. The honest sentence on every page: academic award, not practice rights. Problem questions follow the laptop: a contractor in Brazil, a support agent in India, a student record in English, a designer in Portugal. You will produce issues lists, not appearance certificates. Hub access to assessment data is treated as a data-protection fact pattern, not as a colourful ‘global team’ anecdote. Thirty credits means density: employment characterisation, IP assignment, and data flows, then a supervised memo. FollowLap University remains a remote institution with no moot-court hall to photograph.
Thirty credits in four modules: remote employment characterisation, IP in distributed creation, data and hub ethics, and a supervised legal memo capstone.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
The published duration is 18 months. Teaching language: English (ES/PT/HI support hubs do not change the language of assessment unless a bilingual pathway is stated). Actual time-to-complete depends on mode and any recognised prior learning.
This is a fully online award. You study from your country. No student visa and no campus relocation are required.
Degree tuition for this award is published as £0 / tuition-free on the online pathway. Examination or administrative fees may apply at checkout — never an annual tuition invoice. Check the Fees page for any extras.
Requirements are grouped on this page (academic, English, documents). Equivalent qualifications are considered. English may be waived after prior English-medium study.
Assessment is typically a mix of coursework, projects, and examinations. Doctoral awards include a thesis or dissertation and an oral examination. Details sit in the programme specification and module outlines.
Recognition of the award for local employment, professional licence, or ministry attestation is decided by your employer or regulator. FollowLap University publishes verification pages for certificates. We do not claim automatic equivalence in every country.
