Keep one academic English standard across hubs and meridians—without IELTS-franchise theatre or a campus invigilation myth.
Online only

Global English assessment fails in two opposite ways: pretending every student had a campus invigilator, or letting a Spanish hub ‘help’ until the paper is no longer the student’s. This MA sits in the honest middle. You will design tasks that can be sat fairly at 04:00 and at 16:00, write marker guidance that does not punish legitimate World Englishes while still holding a standard, and specify what hubs may say when a student asks for a translation of the rubric. You will not become a licensed IELTS examiner. You will understand why FollowLap University publishes a language bullet and then has to live it. Seminars rotate. No UN or testing-agency logos in your assessed artefacts. The degree is academic assessment literacy for digital HE, not a ministry teaching licence. You will model exam windows that can be sat at 04:00 and at 16:00 without secretly favouring one block, and you will write marker notes that hold a standard while recognising World Englishes. Hub staff receive a script: logistics and rubric clarification are not the same as drafting the answer. Remote identity-checked assessment is designed without pretending a gymnasium hall exists. No British Council, IELTS, or TOEFL examiner licence is conferred. No UN language-agency logo belongs on a university integrity page.
Thirty-six credits: standards and World Englishes, remote integrity, hub policy, and an assessment-design capstone.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
The published duration is 18 months. Teaching language: English (ES/PT/HI support hubs do not change the language of assessment unless a bilingual pathway is stated). Actual time-to-complete depends on mode and any recognised prior learning.
This is a fully online award. You study from your country. No student visa and no campus relocation are required.
Degree tuition for this award is published as £0 / tuition-free on the online pathway. Examination or administrative fees may apply at checkout — never an annual tuition invoice. Check the Fees page for any extras.
Requirements are grouped on this page (academic, English, documents). Equivalent qualifications are considered. English may be waived after prior English-medium study.
Assessment is typically a mix of coursework, projects, and examinations. Doctoral awards include a thesis or dissertation and an oral examination. Details sit in the programme specification and module outlines.
Recognition of the award for local employment, professional licence, or ministry attestation is decided by your employer or regulator. FollowLap University publishes verification pages for certificates. We do not claim automatic equivalence in every country.
