Write and present research across meridians—async papers, live defences at humane hours—not a campus colloquium myth.
Online only

Research communication still assumes a room, a wine reception, and a local afternoon. Distributed research has comment threads, recorded posters, and a viva-like Q&A that must not always punish APAC. This certificate makes those artefacts the curriculum. You will practise writing for identity-checked assessment, presenting in a slot that rotates, and briefing a hub so they can answer audience logistics without altering your argument. You will not become a journalist by statute. You will not print UN logos on a ‘global impact’ slide. Useful before a doctorate or beside one: this is not the PhD in Distance Higher Education. You will produce a written piece, a captioned recording or live plan, and a hub briefing that is logistics-only. Comment threads are treated as scholarly record when they are, and as noise when they are not. Audiences include non-academic readers without UN impact branding. Peer review happens across offset, which is the point. This certificate sits beside a doctorate; it does not replace the PhD Distance Higher Education and does not grant a press card. FollowLap University will not rent an oak hall for your assessed presentation.
Fifteen credits: written research voice, hybrid presentation, audience and hubs, and a communication pack.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
The published duration is 9 months. Teaching language: English (ES/PT/HI support hubs do not change the language of assessment unless a bilingual pathway is stated). Actual time-to-complete depends on mode and any recognised prior learning.
This is a fully online award. You study from your country. No student visa and no campus relocation are required.
Degree tuition for this award is published as £0 / tuition-free on the online pathway. Examination or administrative fees may apply at checkout — never an annual tuition invoice. Check the Fees page for any extras.
Requirements are grouped on this page (academic, English, documents). Equivalent qualifications are considered. English may be waived after prior English-medium study.
Assessment is typically a mix of coursework, projects, and examinations. Doctoral awards include a thesis or dissertation and an oral examination. Details sit in the programme specification and module outlines.
Recognition of the award for local employment, professional licence, or ministry attestation is decided by your employer or regulator. FollowLap University publishes verification pages for certificates. We do not claim automatic equivalence in every country.
